The 84 TIGERS started off winning an astounding 35 out of 40. Has any other team matched that numerical stat?

Can't say for sure but it might have been matched by the 98 Yanks or the 2000 Mariners (not sure maybe 99 Mariners whatever year they won all those games and lost to the Yanks in the playoffs). The Yanks won 114 so they must have started out well
