Which one should I choose??

so I'm gong to high school next year, and there's this cl thats an elective but is a recommended cl to take if we want to get into college. We can either take it for a semester or a full year. If we take it for a full year, there's going to be this "major research project". There's also this college plan they have in the booklet and it shows that if we take the cl for a full year, it follows the 4 year selective college plan. My question is, should I just suck it up, and take the full year along with the huge project, or the semester cl??? A lot of my friends are just doing the semester cl.
