Dell inspiron 1545 help???!!!?

Okay I have been looking for a new laptop. Everyone says desktops are better but i like to play on my computers in bed. I had a compaq pressario f700 maufatcured by HP and it started acting funny right before the warranty ended and i failed to do anything about it. I am looking at a dell inspiron 1545 feom sams club. I perfer to buy from there if possible they have longer warranty service plans. I mainly use my comp for myspace, facebook, yahoo and myspace messengers, youtube, and usual looking up stuff like for vacations etc. I dont really use it for games unless i play yahoo or pogo games. That basically all i do. I just want something sturdy that will last a loooong time. So if anyone has any information on dell inspiron 1545 please let me know how long you have/ had it and what problems you may have had also if you do not like that computer please tell me another good laptop thats within the $550 price range before taxes and all.
