Help! My plant is dying or dead already ;(?

I have a bonsai plant. It has been with me for 2 months. I think my mom watered it to much because it is very squishy to touch and wet. The leaves are now drooping and all of them has fallen off. The branches that were green are turning brown. But there is one part where the trunk is still hard and healthy. Is my plant dead and can I save it? I really love the plant and i've grown attached to it over the month. Please help.
