Post man (Royal Mail) How do I become one?

Well I would really like to be a postman but I don't even know what type of people the royal mail are looking for. I would like to know if there are any specific qualifications required to be able to become a postman and if there are preliminary fitness tests etc.. and what they comprise of. also what would a "typical day" be like, start time, end time and tasks in between etc..
